Bring banners, placards and let’s make a noise!

If you can’t get to London, take action where you are

Workers resumed the protest on 21 May with a peaceful occupation of the installations at the Cusiana CPF (Central Processing Facility) in the face of frustrated efforts to reach agreement with BP on the labour negotiating commission. BP has taken upon itself to misrepresent the events aiming to confuse the regional, national and international communities. It has been circulating communiqués and leaflets in the districts of the town of Tauramena.  The peaceful occupation of the CPF installations consists in the total stoppage of building works carried out in the complex…http://www.colombiasolidarity.org.uk/component/content/article/25-news/501-colombian-oilworkers-have-occupied-bp-processing-plant-despite-threats

Next London Branch Meetings

7pm Tuesday 15 June  Where Next? Colombia After the Election

Introduced by Gustavo Silva

7pm Tuesday 6 July Rules of Forensic Evidence: A New Battleground for the Disappeared

Introduced by Carolina Olarte

NOTE NEW VENUE (due to World Cup Disruption)

Both meetings at FINFUTURE, 225-229 SEVEN SISTERS ROAD, LONDON N4 2DA.

Directions: The FINFUTURE building only a few metres from Finsbury Park station (Piccadilly and Victoria lines, National Rail and buses).

In Finsbury Park station, follow the signs to 'Seven Sisters Road' rather than any of the other exits. Come out of the station into Seven Sisters Road and turn right. After a few metres you should see the Finfuture building on your right. There are signs hanging out over the pavement saying 'Finfuture' and the word is also written up over the main entrance door. If you arrive by 7.00, simply ring the doorbell for attention and someone will let you in.

If you don't make it on time, there will be nobody in reception, so please phone us on 07929 023214 to let you in.

Sometimes people make the mistake of going to Seven Sisters station. Don't do that! It's quite a way away from Finfuture.
