Yesterday, Emilio Basto, a Nasa native who usually runs el rebusque, a morning show in Nasa and Spanish on Radio Payumat, where he listens and exchanges with indigenous peoples from the fields, explains the process and the contexts, opens a debate on critical issues, does interviews so that everyone in their homes understands the project of aggression and continues to think and resist, was arrested by the police in Santander de Quilichao.

La firma de un acuerdo entre Carbones del Cerrejon y la Junta de Reubicacion de Tabaco es histórico y verdaderamente bienvenido. De acuerdo a Armando Perez, asesor legal de la Junta, el acuerdo contiene la mayor parte de lo que la comunidad ha venido demandando desde el brutal desalojo de los habitantes de Tabaco y la demolición de su aldea cometidos entre finales de 2001 y comienzos de 2002.

The signing of an agreement between Cerrejon Coal and the Tabaco Relocation Committee is historic and truly welcome. According to Armando Perez, the Committee's legal adviser, the agreement contains most of what the community has been demanding since the brutal eviction of the inhabitants of Tabaco and the demolition of their village in late 2001 and early 2002.
